I too began the 1000 gifts in May of this year and I reached the 1300 mark and must continue, as GOD continues to bless me



Today I say thanks for the 18, 931 days GOD has blessed me with

Also I would like to list something that was brought to my mind
1. Thankful for Amber and reading her blogs lead me to the holy experience
2. Thankful to Dayle for the Simple Pleasure blogs ~A simple life showing how blessed we are life's little things and how when we look its those simple things that bring much happiness
3.Thankful for so many ladies on blogpsot that share their love for GOD
4. Thankful for my life blog as she shares her blessings in life.

My Simple Pleasure

for this week is

a few weeks ago my husband and I

Went out to eat

He left for just a few minutes

I was thinking more like he had gone to the bathroom

he returned with this cute little bag

with multi-colored tissue

looking oh so pretty

I opened it

to find 

A Magnet

 as you see above the saying

however it made me laugh

and I loved the sweet

Simple gift that came from the

heart

I am reminded of that day eating 

by the lakeside 

Harbor we were at

 each time I go

to the refrigerator

I AM THANKFUL I KNOW WE WERE SUPPOSE TO GO TO ONE THOUSAND BUT HOW CAN ONE STOP WHEN WE HAVE SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR AND THE BLESSINGS ON US !!





1249  Monday~~ For this day !!!

1250  For out early before sunrise to see the beauty of this sunrise

1251  For the beautiful red sky this early morning

1252  For our safe trip to the Ridge and back

1253  For Nancy telling me she was  getting to go see her nephew and visit for a couple of weeks

1254  For finishing this weeks bible study early so I can go back and re-think and review



1255  Tuesday ~~For this day !!!

1256  For this being my day off

1257  For the beautiful sunshine

1258  For living in the land of many freedoms and voting being one of them

1259  For seeing the most awesome sun and then to the left of the sun it looked like a sun bow I made my husband pull off the road for me to get a picture but its not a good one since it came from my blackberry

Quilt Party !!

I have this saying hanging in our house

so true

our lives are like that of a quilt

Pieced together with love

one piece at a time

 This Quilt is a very old one was made by my mother many years ago as she has been gone
for 28 years and it was made long before that but is still together
Amazing that those little stitches still holding together .
I would love to know the name of this pattern , If anyone knows the name for it I would appreciate it .

As I reminisced on this quilt I saw dresses that had been worn by me , handkerchiefs of my dads. Mother did the back in a plaid color as you will see in the picture
As I stood there looking at this quilt and thinking of all the love that went into making this and the care she took with each stitch I could feel this.
 as she made this I just know she was singing as she always sang with all her working in the house I could here those songs and feel the love while standing looking at the quilt

                                    This quilt has keep how many family members warm on a cold winters night ?

                              This quilt was given to me by  my sister in laws mother she made this a few
                               years back all the pieces she  has stitched
                               I have keep this folded over the end of one of our beds

                                  

                                 I think that this one has been quilted on a machine by looking
                                 at the stitches

                                     This is a quilt piece my mother was working on
                                     before she passed away she had just enough pieces of the pattern
                                     made, that my sister in law Nancy had each of us a pillow made
                                     This  is my most treasured quilt piece it may have never been finished as a quilt
                                      I feel the love that was going into it as the first quilt I showed
                                      I know those stitches  were stitched with lots of love and just holding
                                      it close I feel that love ...........................

Simple Pleasure Nov 4 2010

My simple pleasure this week is one of

                                                                   Morning Glories

 
such a simple common flower

yet they are so much more photogenic

than lots of others


Its amazing that every time

                                                                    I take a picture

                                                           of one they seem to light up


                                                                    from the center


                                                             It appears to be so bright


                                                             almost of if there is a light


                                                                  inside the flower


                                                            Thinking about their light

I have thought how we may look all plain and simple

but let our light shine so bright that

                                                       others  would see CHRIST in us

This just spoke to my heart and that I need

to let my light shine as bright as the

                                                                Morning Glories

The light that is within us should

                                                                         
                                                           I hope it would be so bright!!

May the light of CHRIST shine

1226   For our ladies bible study as it was interesting ...we have to write a letter to GOD thanking him for all he has done for us ...

1227  For discussing the lesson .....I love the discussion seems like I learn more .

1231  For Mcdonalds Coffee this AM as I had to go fasting to the lab

1237  For mowing the lawn and mulching the leaves ..time to pray
