I pray that this new year

will bring happiness

to our family

as I sit here at the computer

my tears still flow

for the lost of loved ones

I miss them so bad

but I know that GOD

sees each tear

knows when it falls

HE  

Just spoke into my spirit

my child , my child

Christmas lights how I miss you !!!

I am sure missing our

Christmas lights on the trees

I would come  in from work

my husband would have the lights all the trees

I would sit and just relax looking

at the multi colored  lights 

that I so love

Last night my living room looks so empty and alone

There is just something about the lights

that I love

maybe its because during this time

that I sat

I am reminded of the one true

light that came to

earth to save us

how peaceful it is to know

my saviour love

for me

5019    Coming home to lights on the CHRISTnas tree that I love so much I sat to enjoy
for several hours
5020    Getting most of the laundry done !!
5021     Thankful for LOVE , LOVE I still have in my heart for my brother whom
I miss so very much !!!!

5023     Waking up at 3 am to hear the rain ..........thank you LORD for ears that I may hear many sounds !!
5024      For my Gilligan hat !!
5025      Talking with my Uncle Roy and that he is going to Blues today

5026     Wednesday ~~For this day !!!
5027      Morning Sunshine and its only 84 days until spring !!!
5028      Thankful for my family that could be with my nephew during a very happy day in his life
and I pray that he will serve his district well .
5029       Thankful that Uncle Roy got to be with Blue and other family members today

5030     Thursday ~~For this day !!!
5031     Thankful to have a extra day off this week
5032     Thankful that my husband and I got to go out for lunch/supper today
5033      Thankful that Champion finally got a bath

5036       For talking with my brother, that we can share in each others happy times and cry with each other as well ................a brothers love...................

New Years day 2011 from my neck of the woods

Today

January 1, 2012

WOW

I was woke up by the pouring rain

to look out later around nine a.m.

to see snow had just begin to lay on the cars

then ten minutes later

the sun was out beautiful

turning out to be in the high fifties 

with the warm pretty day

yelp you got it I was outside

 taking down a

few Christmas decorations

filling the bird feeders

enjoying the warm sunshine

I  also enjoyed the open window 

letting in the warm fresh air

in the kitchen today

Here in our neck of the woods

we have had a bit of  rain, snow and sunshine

now if the rest of the winter will

be like this

it will sure make this ole gal a happy person

Hope your New Years day

was as enjoyable as mine

Thank you Lord for this day

and the beauty that you have given us

Its sure hard to believe that 2012 is here !
Today being New years day and me being
a stickler for traditions.
Its the day to take down the trees, put away all the Christmas decorations
and the day that every since I have been born I know that there has been
Cabbage at our house growing up on New Years and I have continued it
to our house
I have to cook cabbage, potatoes, onions and corned beef  which makes
a really nice dish
Growing up my mother always fixed cooked cabbage on New Years day.
When I married my husband ,he grew up with the tradition of having
black eyed peas, and hog jowl ,so for the last 23 years
I have fixed all three which has now become our tradition
All these many years and still I haven't researched why
we have these items of cabbage, hog jowl and black eyed peas
If any of you bloggers know the reason why we do this leave me a comment
also tell me what your traditions are as well .

5002    For my brother  and his kindness sending me something to go shopping for someone else and that I got it finished before the rain started ~~Thank you LORD
5003     Thankful that my husband made potato soup for me again

5005    Finally getting Aunt J package mailed off
5006    Picking up some boxes for Margaret to wrap the items Santa got
5007    Aunt J's excitement over a Christmas card she treasures all things

5008    Saturday ~~For this day !!! CHRISTMAS EVE ~~
5009    For the warm sunny day thank you LORD
5010    Thankful for the shirt I am wearing today W O G G L E
5011     For the beautiful CHRISTmas eve candle light service and Communion and for the little girl that sang away in a manger so sweet

5012    For neighbors stopping by with their sweet little baby girl  and their kindness , my heart broke for this young man as he told me he had lost his mother on Christmas day a few years ago

5013   Sunday ~~For this day !!! CHRSITmas the day that LOVE , True love came
down to us as the CHRIST child
5014    For Early Morning church and the beautiful singing
5015    Thankful that prayers are being answered  for Baby Parker he is off the O2
5016    Thankful for my husbands mother coming to visit us today
5017     Talking with Family that live away Communications are wonderful to keep us connected
even though miles apart
