4077    Thankful to finally get to study after the dogs barked for 30 mins. (this didn't help as I was trying to study the fruits of the spirit = the devil will use what he can to distract us )

Simple Pleausre Party 9 15 2011

Tuesday I had the privilege to take my husbands aunt who is eighty plus  years young, to see her brother
who is very ill in the hospital . 
After a hour of  driving  to her home Auntie comes out with several bags one for me that had the something wrapped in plastic bags I told her that I would open this when I got home since  she told me it was breakable
I get home  unwrap it , a beautiful vase that she had in her home for sometime and wanted me to have it
Auntie and I love colors of purple, its our favorite color~~ purple!~~ which  goes so well in my living room as I have sage and purples.

This morning my husband says I know how you can use the vase, " use those colored glass stones
with a candle like you did  with the mason jar " so I thought that would be a neat idea

 I have a question for all the ones that view this which candle do you think is best the small one or the bigger one?

Auntie is such a sweetie and what a perfect way to use the vase as she shines her light for others
in her giving so will her vase now shine  when lite I will always think of our day
together we had a nice visit before getting the hospital  , even though the day had tears it was a "day of memories for her " she said .Auntie lives alone and has never married and has only us a hour away  I sure pray when I am her age that I can see the  days as she does and appreciates all things so much
If its just a card it makes her day.

              Giving Thanks to GOD this week for ..............

The blessings of a big family
 (there were nine of us brothers and sister and we have now two in heaven that we miss along with our Dad and Mother)

are only seen by a few

A few of the chosen ones

that God has given this blessing too



The blessings are so numerous

it's hard to even start

to number or to name them but

they all hold a place in the heart



The heart of every person in a

big family is unique

it's uniqueness makes us special

and should not be critiqued



The memories that are made

are more precious than gold

from babies to weddings

from young and to old



From grandparents to grandchildren

and everyone in between

the many special relationships that are built

and could have never been foreseen



Thank you God

for my big family I will treasure

through the good times and bad

the memories could not be measured



Thank you God

for birthdays, simple get-togethers and even the tears

for I pray that these blessings

last many, many more years



To have a big family

can be a lot of work, not just play

but life is too short

so I THANK GOD FOR MY BIG FAMILY TODAY and Each day

I am so thankful for all things this week , Studying in Matthew about how JESUS was treated
and that he did it just for me I am so Thankful for my HEAVENLY FATHER !!!!

Galatians 5:22-23

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law

I started a new 10 week  bible study  I know you could never guess the title of this Study ~~the fruits of the spirit
Last night being the first night we were asked when introducing our self's to say which fruit was our favorite and how we like it best .
I like all fruits so this was one off the top of my head that I picked

                                                                     ~A Orange~

the orange --some are beautiful and bright in color, some are not as bright kind of dull, then some are just a little green  some are bigger than the others,  some are sweet, some are sour, some are more juicier than others and then there are some that has hardly no juice at all --Kind of just hard .  There are those Orange's that the skin is easy to peel to get to the heart and others have that tougher skin harder to get to the heart of  the orange
Comparing the orange to the gifts of the spirit , we need to have the beauty not only on the outside but the inside as well, easy to peel , juicy overflowing with the spirit, joy way down deep in the heart that overflows to the outside , Love that is from the heart to all not just a chosen few GOD loves all not just a few .
Gentleness with each one just as GOD is gentle with us ,forbearance means I need to refrain   from deliberately saying or doing something that would hurt others .
We need to be faithful to GOD and each other in truly showing all the fruits.
My prayer that doing this study will allow me to absorb all GOD is showing me in the fruits of the spirit just as he has showed me about the orange that I choose as my fruit. I want the to be the bright and shiny orange that is tender outside have the heart that is juicy with his love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,Meekness, temperance:

May you too have a increase in the fruit's of the spirit

Simple pleasure Thursday 9-8-2011

I was looking at a friends pictures on facebook and saw this cute  candle holder idea
and love the way she fixed them

                                                    I love this simple cute country look

I decided to do a few for me I bought the sand, and glass stones

however now I want to use not only mason jars

but maybe I will try this look also for another spot

I love the mason jars best I am on the hunt for some

wide mouth mason jars

to create the cozy country  look

My simple pleasure is  to create a simple cozy look with candles, sand  , glass stones

and mason jars.

3979    Thank you Lord for one of a family member getting saved ..I am praying and thanking GOD to work Thur this young man to save the entire family ...as this would make my brother so happy .

3982    Thankful for the picnic after work

3989   Thankful to pay the water, gas, Electric, phone etc ...thank you Lord

3991    Thankful for the work in my yard and prayer time ....I know I say this over and over about my flowers and time alone with GOD in the garden and porch last night was just awesome ..I just cant begin to tell you how the Holy Spirit moved as I prayed ...it brings tears to my eyes again typing this .....thank you Jesus for your love, and just being as close to me as the air I breathe

Time alone with GOD

I try each day to have some quite time alone with GOD to pray , and to give praise to GOD
I love being outside so during the work in my yard I do some praying and praising GOD for
all the things he allows me to have
I then go to the porch for some really quiet time to talk to GOD , kind of like to just ask him to feel me with his presence at this time on Wednesday night he sure did that if anyone would have been near they would have thought whats going on as I was feeling the presence so strong and praying, praising GOD I was allowed to see something I know this had to be of GOD , it was as though I could see someone dear to me sitting by some beautiful water with the pants rolled up and sitting with just their feet in the water I was like what is this I am seeing it was as if GOD said my child this is the river of life .
I have looked for images of a river to post with this but none came near to what I saw the water was beautiful the surroundings were also .

I am trying during my lunch time to get in the car and read the bible each day
here are some ways to get quiet with GOD
 ~~You may want to take a walk in the quiet of the morning
~~ Sit on the porch early morning or late evening
~~ Drive somewhere that it will be quiet
~~  Be flexible: Don't feel that you have to do the same thing every quiet time. Allow the Lord to lead you and show you what he wants you to do each day.





Quiet time is more than just a daily appointment  "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name" in Psalm 100:4 NKJV. We should approach God in thanksgiving as we praise and worship him.

as we can learn more about Praying, Praising and getting closer to GOD

Some time back Dayle had said she liked ready the Mitford Series
I had told a lady about the Mitford series and one day she walks in to
my office with the Mitford Collection .

She had checked it out of our church library for me
I don't get much time to read as I would like
I am almost finished the second in the series
A light in the window .

I have enjoyed the two I read , such a neat little town Mitford with
Father Tim and all others in the books
