Though the eyes of a child

I hosted a Ornament exchange party this week
I sit and watched this sweet child stand on the tins I had
under the tree and how she moved from one ornament to another
standing on each tin just touching each one

My thoughts were this is Christmas , this picture says is all
though the eyes of a child

focusing on Christ. with that child like faith

Brown Bag Christmas

This year I had posted on facebook  about Christmas past
and how when we were young the scent of Fruit
filled the air in our little Methodist Church.
My friends spoke of how this doesn't happen anymore
to my surprise today the pastor walks in to my
work with a brown paper bag filled with fruit and candy
how awesome is that .

My thoughts were actually on the smell or aroma that filled the little church
and how we should be filled with the Holy Spirit and show the juicy fruit

Shorkie our new furbaby

We just welcomed  a new fur baby 

into our home today Feb 5 2017

four weeks (born Jan 8 2017 )old she comes with bottle feedings 

and lots of cuddles and love 

just look at her so tiny and cute 

all brown except 

the white you see on her sweet little face 

she also has some white on her paws kind of like 

she has on white gloves 

                                                              look at her blue eyes

I had said I didn't want another fur baby after our sweet champion went to doggy heaven
I gave in to my husband wanting a puppy .  I told my husband that she  has big shoes to fill as Champie was my perfect dog ..





Oh I almost forgot to tell you she is a Shorkie and  her name is Kate,  the name fit for a princess
that she is.

I am sure we will have bring much love to our home

shovel and dirt

Last night I sure enjoyed shoveling
some dirt and daylilies, it sure doesn't take
much to make this simple country girl HaPpY
my five year old neighbor came over to help
makes my heart smile that little ones want to
help dig in the dirt and flowers.

Simple life.... simple joys.... may I always be thankful
for all the little things as well as the big things ...

 

Spring and Summer Look

I purchased this spring looking quilt back in early March
to put on our bed after I spring cleaned however my room never got spring
cleaned this year due to my fall
however I decided the other day with the help of My husband
spring cleaned or not I was putting this on our bed
I love the colors, the cheerfulness it brings

I had been wanting a lamp to convert to a solar lamp for my little
country porch.
Its the simple things in life that bring great pleasure as I sit here in my white rocker
enjoying the night with a little wine I enjoyed this simple little brass pineapple
lamp...

Treasures

This past weekend I went to the area I grew  up in
first it was just to visit family, then I received a call
to come visit a friend on Saturday at 10 am which I said
I would be there.
I was honored to  have been allowed to have some
items a sweet friend wanted me to have.
I will cherish these items and think of you often
my dear sweet friend, more than things or items  I cherish the friendship of
my neighbor/friend/ Brother and /sister in Christ

Feeling honored and blessed to have had some of
the most amazing neighbors and friends even after all
the years I have been moved to another state.
