simple pleasure~~Dinner

I was invited to a dinner my friend/sister in Christ was hosting Friday evening
for some of her friends.
I must say I really didn't want to attend due to working until seven
along with me just being me .
I made some deviled eggs and dropped them off for my friend to
put in her fridge until the evening dinner.    I explained to her that
I didn't think I would be attending, when I said that I could see the hurt
in her eyes, so the afternoon I decided to go.
I watched her as everyone entered and how thrilled she was for each
one to show up as she had been just paesing the floor waiting on each one

I was so glad that I went if it was just to stay for the beginning of dinner as
she calls it fellowship with the sisters

Walking

                     As you can see I started my daily track walking with two tops and a jacket ,
                      It was quite breezy the wind was blowing my hair, making me oh so cold.

You can tell by the picture that I decided to pull my jacket 

up around my ears. 

As I walked the heat kicked in and I started shedding 

clothes, first the jacket , then one top 

yes I did leave the last Tank Tee on ( smile)

Each walk is wonderful walking talking to 

GOD 

listening for voice

Simple Beauty

I normally don't my  pick 

my flowers 

since it was to frost on Friday night 

I said I just have to enjoy these two a little 

longer

my camera doesn't do the

 salmon colored 

or red rose justice 

May I always take time to stop and smell the roses 

and be thankful for the simple things in life 

Weight Loss Journey

I began my healthier lifestyle some time between June and July in 2012
In the  past I have tried many diets, losing a few pounds some years back then I would gain a few back. On this particular morning I woke to hear a voice that said "Glenna its time to get healthy" I turn to view my wall  as the voice that was so audible and said "OK" to the voice of GOD. This morning I decided that yes, I would change the way I ate I  would cut out all the things I so loved and if you knew me you would know how much I loved cookies, cakes, Ice Cream, and candy, oh my it was my everyday pattern to have lunch of Fast food, then to go get my sweet fix of a pint of ice cream , a candy bar, then I would want something salty I was just one sweet after another , Pizza hut lunch buffet meant I would have a salad then 6 or eight pieces of pizza along with the pasta, as I write this I am thinking how many thousands of  calories I consumed in a day!

I began to search for healthy foods and what each benefit was of that  food. I think the voice of GOD I heard that morning was preparation in August I started feeling my heart skip beats one Sunday afternoon then they went away however the next morning those skipped beats woke me up I told my husband I would go to our family doctor to see what was going on he wanted to schedule many test I came home called the cardiologist to get a appointment which I had to have a echo, stress test, overnight pulse oxygen, and heart monitor,the results the Dr gave where as follows I had 190 some skipped beats on the monitor, three leaky valves, I had a good ejection fraction of 60. His words to me was and I quote "you have a angel on our shoulder" at this point I had only lost about 30 pounds


  I still continued on my lifestyle change dropping a pound or two a week, the Dr wanted me to have a repeat heart monitor in 6 months so in May of (2013) I had wore the monitor and returned to hear the news. The Doctor came in and said I couldn't be more pleased with your monitor your heart only had 13 missed beats I say Praise GOD!! the Doctor says the weight you have loss has taken one million miles for every ten pounds of weight loss  that your heart didnt have to  pump,  again I must say here Praise GOD!


I have been asked if I have had Gastric bypass, lap band, some have just asked how ? with each how
I tell of GOD's voice , the other day I was telling one of the tellers at the bank and she said I wish GOD would do that to me , this bothered me that maybe she thought he couldn't wouldn't etc
I came home looked though my prayer journals and in Nov 2006 I had started praying that GOD would help me to lose weight I looked at all the times I prayed this ...I can only say I know he spoke to me and I know what he has done for me , the bible says ask and you shall receive , I pray that I can continue to keep this healthy lifestyle and tell others of the wonderful love of JESUS and how he can and will move in each ones life.

As I write here its 2014 I just went for my  re check with the echo this past Wednesday  May 7 2014
I will see the cardiologist  May 21 for the results
My Cardiologist was happy with my weight loss and my ejection fraction is still 60 the valves hadn't changed which is good  I will continue to reach my goal which I am around 38 pounds from where I need to be

Its now June 2015  

I returned again to have my echo and test results from the cardiologist

My Dr. said again you have a angel on your shoulder 

I must say I PRAISE GOD for his hand on me 

my valves were not leaking as bad along with no

Carotid  artery blockage 

my Cholesterol is down 

I am at a stand still in my weight loss journey 

however if this is where GOD has me to 

stay then this is where I must learn 

now to manage to stay 

on my healthy eating 

I almost forget to say this weight loss journey 

has been a very spiritual journey 

I have heard the voice of GOD 

many times along the way 

My body his temple 

May GOD blessings be on each of you 

PRAISE GOD from whom all blessings flow !

Answered Prayers

Around December 2014 I began 

praying that GOD would send me 

someone that I could help 

not financially
 as I dont have the funds  for financial helping 

but to help them however that God knew I could 

God is so amazing as he
answered my prayers in a way
that I could never begin to tell you
 the person I have
been helping as been a BIG blessing
to me more than I am to her
she was praying for help that
I could help her with
when I sent her a text
just asking if she would like
something I had cooked
The most GODly womam
I have ever meet she will never
ever know how I see JESUS in her so much
she shines of him in her walk her talk
everywhere and everything she does
she SPARKLES
