My Simple Pleasure
this week

Last night it was storming,
our dog is so afraid of storms that
my husband has to take him to
bed and build him a fort of pillows to
surround him
with it storming my husband and I take
Champion to bed
and we just lay there and
have a little talk
I look over and see
our peaceful and
comforted he feels with just
my husband letting him
lay on his pillow as he feels my husbands touch
such a simple pleasure to lay and talk and comfort
our baby doggy
thinking about this simple pleasure I have to say
it reminds me of wanting to feel
that kind of protection and comfort from our heavenly father
Just knowing his hand is always on us
how awesome !!!

Awh, it reminds me of our Golden Retriever. The old girl passed away last year and we miss her terribly. :( She was afraid of storms too. Love that picture and the thought of being comforted by our Father.
ReplyDeleteI love how God reminds us tangibly of how He protects us through how we protect our most precious possessions!
ReplyDeleteThis is truly precious...my dog is not afraid of storms but of trucks :)

I love my little dog Julie ,too.
ReplyDeleteBeing able to cuddle our furry friends really is a simple pleasure!
ReplyDeleteAs I read your post I was thinking off how the heavenly Father is also before I even got to that part of your post! I saw the imagery clearly of how God seeks to comfort and protect us!
ReplyDeleteI love this, Glenna. And so true about the Heavenly Father's hand always being there to comfort us.

Poor pup. Our dogs don't like thunder either and our little one has to come to bed with us when it storms.
ReplyDeleteAw this is so precious! What a beautiful simple pleasure. :) Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! It is such a blessing to get to share my thanks with others, and take encouragement from gratitude lists like yours.
ReplyDeleteThat was lovely to read. We do long to know that protection and care from our Heavenly Father.
ReplyDeleteAwww ... what a sweet picture. Our furry boy is also afraid of storms, but a comforting hand means so much.
ReplyDeleteThe Lord has taught me so much through our pets!
