My simple pleasure this week is one of
Morning Glories
such a simple common flower
yet they are so much more photogenic
than lots of others
Its amazing that every time
I take a picture
of one they seem to light up
from the center
It appears to be so bright
almost of if there is a light
inside the flower
Thinking about their light
I have thought how we may look all plain and simple
but let our light shine so bright that
others would see CHRIST in us
This just spoke to my heart and that I need
to let my light shine as bright as the
Morning Glories
I hope it would be so bright!!
May the light of CHRIST shine
in you today !!!
in you today !!!

Thanks so much Dayle for allowing us to come together
and share in the simplicity of all things !!

They are bright and beautiful but sadly wouldn't survive in the heat we have here. My moss roses are a true reflection of survival in the harshest of conditions. They keep blooming no matter what the weather just as I hope to do even during days of trial and tribulation. Wishing you a beautiful day. :) Tammy
ReplyDeleteMorning glories are one of my absolute faves! We have some on the backyard fence that volunteered from last year's seeds. A good thing, too... I never got around to planting any on purpose last spring. Love your interpretation of the light they seem to have.
ReplyDeleteKay, Morning Glories are one of my favorite flowers, and the analogy you have given is so beautiful, thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

Morning glories were my mom's favorite. Thank you for the simple reminder. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThe morning glories are so pretty. Can't beat God's handiwork! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a nice comment. Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite flowers and, yet, I've never been able to grow them. You've captured the simple beauty of an amazing flower, and your analogy speaks volumes.
ReplyDeleteAmen! You've said it so beautifully!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful little bloom indeed. I must try some in our garden next year.
ReplyDeletethese are so beautiful and I like what you said that His Light should shine through us.
ReplyDeleteI'm so in agreement about the morning glories. They are a favorite flower of mine. I wish that I could grow them.
ReplyDeleteI also like what you said about shining the light. Oh, that I would get up every morning and shine like a morning glory.
These remind me of my grandmother. She grew morning glories on the wrought iron railings on her front porch. I loved when they were in full bloom. Beautiful pictures of beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful post...I love how morning glories grow prettiest with their faces toward the sun...just like us when we turn our faces toward the Son.
