Thankful Jar 2014

The above pictures are of my 2014 thankful jar that I
emptied tonight new years eve .
I unfolded each little note some on newspapers, receipts.
Whatever was handy for me to record my words of encouragement,  thankfulness, simple little things that brought a smile to me or someone.
 I wanted to share some of the little notes

January 7th our 25th anniversary we had made plans on where we would go, however winter brought us Snow and Ice with a cold low of -7 degrees .  Plans changed we stayed in where we were warm.

Feb. 6th   hearing my sister laugh at something I said  for the first time since losing her only son
If I can make her smile or laugh for one minute that is one less tear .  My heart breaks for her and Bill.

Several times this year I have been given clothes, shoes from Lisa,  Barkers and Missy for each gift  I am thankful and blessed.

May September and October I traveled to my home town to spend a few days with my family
we visited friends  and family .

Glad I got to visit with Marcia in May and September.  Her hugs and saying to me you just don't know how much I have missed you ....
Rip ...Marcia ....

Dec 17th.  I received a text from my co worker that brought me to tears ...good tears..
humbled to know God used me to uplift someone 2 days before as they shared with her today. Thank you Lord for allowing me to be uplifting to some one

Lunches at the park just my husband and I

Walks at 8 am during warm months ...prayer walks ..I was praising God as I walked one morning not knowing anyone had saw my hands up .  This lady stops me as I meet her and said can I ask you were you Praising God back there and I said yes....she said you blessed me .... tears that God would allow me to bless someone ...we never know who we are uplifting by just raising our hands in Praise to God .

Multitudes on Monday 

For several years I have joined in this

it has sure gave me a more sincere appreciation 

for the little things that I would have other wise passed by 

I have found its in the little things that give us 

the most blessings

I stopped posting each week in April 2014 this would have been week 205
  below 6948 was were I left off
however I haven't stopped just that I record things I am thankful for  each night in my
devotional  

Trying to count the multitude of blessings is like standing on the shore trying to count each grain of sand

For Monday a new beginning of a week, on this day I was blessed to have received clothes that just fit  from someone that didn't have a clue what I had asked for last year in my journal, I had listened to a podcast last June 22 2013 and Joyce Myers was talking about how GOD cared in the little things our wants and our needs and to make a list of both pray  ask GOD  and watch when they come ...I PRAISE GOD that

he cares about the little things .......

So for today I  just had to share that I hadn't forgot to give thanks just not blogging each week 

maybe I will pick it back up

I am using a thankful jar also that I will take out New Years eve or Day and read all the things 

that I have been blessed with this year 2014

I will post those things so if I lose the little thankful pieces of paper I will have them here on 

blogger . 

Christmas Lights (oh what a feeling)

Each night during Christmas 

my husband knows the love for the lights being on when I come home from work.

I open the door and step inside to have 

the warmest, coziest feeling ever 

I sit and enjoy the lights , no Tv, No music 

just quiet time 

oh and the candles have our little house 

scented with the smell of Christmas

Years Passed~~Kindness Recalled

My sister in law called  to share the good time they had today at
A little place called fluty Lick .
Fluty Lick is buried deep in the Ky mountains.

Each year at this time they have church on the
Cemetery and dinner on the grounds
I have many memories of going to this annual Church meeting
 Family and friends came in from many states and still do.

My  sister in law  wanted to share what one of the 8o years young man told
of the kindness of my dad
When this man got married he told my dad he didn't have a place to live
My dad being kind hearted and having a extra house he offered it to this man
at no charge until he could find some where to live .
 Dad said all I  ask is you take care of it like it was yours and keep
it clean . You will have  free gas and water in the house , the man recalled that cold winter
and how that house had kept them so warm that he would ccome in from the zero temperature and be sweating in just a few minutes . He lived there until he built him a house which was a lengthy time
My heart was warmed by the kindness remembered after all these years
as my dad has been gone almost 40 years

My dad had a big heart and was sure a giver
I suppose that's why Mother and Dad never let us goes without we always had what we needed most we wanted and more

Thoughts On my walk Today 8-16-14

Today as I was walking before work 

These thoughts came to my mind 

about life and our journey 

the road has many curves along the way 

                                                 Sometimes life is just like muddy water

                                       We have many bridges to cross along the way
                some times we think grass is always greener on the other side
                                                             but when we look
                                   at the whole picture Mine is just as  green or greener

                                        Then we have roads going to the left and right
                                               or we can take the path of hills and trees

My thoughts as I walked this morning 

Summed up its my Journey 

no two directions are ever the same 

and I am never alone

Simple Pleasures

I sit for hours just watching 

these sweet little hummers 

What beauty surrounds us 

stop...enjoy...the beauty that around you
